And so we conclude the chambray shirt challenge. I think it's save to say there are so many ways to wear the chambray shirt (it really can be worn year-round). I had such great time creating new looks each week and showing that with a little creativity you can create completely new looks with one item. Hopefully this has inspired new ideas with the chambray. I know it has opened up my eyes to new possibilities.

This outfit pretty much sums up my spring wish list. I love the idea of wearing a wooden clog sandal with a bright skirt for Spring (and this bright yellow hits the mark). Because this outfit can be dressed up or down, it could be worn to so many different places.

We've worn the chambray shirt under a dress but how about wearing it over a dress? Wearing it over a dress is a great way to wear those summer dresses now. Finish off the look by adding in some different textures and a pop of color and you are set.

As a mom to an almost 2 year old boy I am constantly on the go chasing him around and like to wear clothes and shoes I can easily move in without looking sloppy. I love these bright colored Sperrys and the idea of a lightweight sweater skirt. It's comfortable, but still looks put together. Plus, there's always room for more stripes in my closet.

Today's outfit is to prove you can wear denim with denim. I think the key to making it work is choosing denims that are different shades and find ways to break it up (such as with a bright belt). I also am in love with these shoes. I first spotted them on Jordan's blog Oh Happy Day. Not only do they look extremely comfortable, but they would go with everything (plus, they come in red and black).

We are half-way through the chambray shirt challenge. The good news is I still have many more ideas to share. I decided to go a little more classic this week and show how you can dress up the chambray shirt. Here is my office appropriate version picking staples that should be in every woman's wardrobe including: a black blazer, nude shoes, and something leopard.

I know I posted mint green jeans a couple of weeks ago, but what can I say, I've fallen for the color and love it paired with this reddish orange (which happens to be pantone's color of the year). Plus, this skirt is on sale for less than $30 making it the find of the week (or month). P.S. what do you think of the bug belt? would you wear a bug on your belt?

I really love to find ways to add a little femininity to the chambray shirt such as with dress, a bright lip color and a bit of sparkle (necklace). How do you dress up the chambray shirt?

p.s. When I first started putting this look together there were plenty of sizes in this sheath dress, however by the time I was done I realized it's almost completely sold out online and I can see why with such a great pattern and color combination (though it does come in another pattern and other solid colors).

Here is my attempt at combining winter and spring. I'm sticking with sweaters, closed toe shoes, and wool because it's still cold outside (in MN that is), but I'm dying to put on some pastels, for pastels are going to make a huge appearance this spring (plus these minty green jeans are so amazing who says you have to wait to wear them)?

The chambray shirt is one of my favorite items right now and probably one of the most versatile pieces in my wardrobe. It goes with almost everything.

Because of this, I've decided to do a new series titled the "Chambray Challenge" where once a week for 10 weeks I will style the chambray shirt in a different way. Plus, couldn't we all use a few more ideas of ways to re-style things we already have? Hopefully, by the end, you will see that a chambray shirt is a great investment if you don't already have one (that is, if you aren't sick of it by then).
