Fall trend: high waisted skinny jeans

I love a good pair of skinny jeans in a dark wash, but lately I've been seeing a lot of high waisted ones. The other day my friend Amanda had on the cutest pair that she wore with a tucked-in tee and skinny belt.

Fall Trend: Plaid Coats

Lately, I've noticed lots of girls wearing plaid coats around. They have a cool vibe and are the perfect piece for making a statement when the temperatures drop. I like them best when worn with simple and classic pieces.

Fall trend: leather details

One of my favorite trends this season is leather detail. Last year I bought a few leather pieces and am excited to style them again this winter. Heidi Merrick's fall 2013 collection crushed it with so many great pieces (you can see the rest of her collection here). Just a hint of leather, especially when paired with more feminine pieces, gives just the right amount of edge.

Fall trend: midi rings

Lately I've noticed a lot of girls sporting midi rings (rings worn on the middle of your finger). I have to admit I don't wear rings a lot with the exception of my wedding ring or sometimes a larger cocktail ring. However, I really like the delicateness of these rings. They are a nice little detail, pretty inexpensive, and one trend that most everyone can pull off.
