Style: Kimonos

image
What are you wearing this summer? Lately I've been seeing kimonos everywhere, so many that online stores even have a kimono section on their sites. They seem great for summer because they are super lightweight and can easily be thrown over a t-shirt and jeans look.

What are your thoughts? Do you like them? Find one herehere, here, or here, or if you're brave you can even try making your own.

Style do or don't: slip-on sneakers

image
I recently spotted one of my friends with a pair of leopard slip-on sneakers. Slip-on sneakers seem to be having a big moment for spring. At first I wasn't sure I liked them (I do, however, love them for my boys!). Although, after seeing them styled with jeans, a loose fit tee and a leather jacket, they are starting to grow on me. And I like that they look comfy and are easy to throw on. I'm curious to know what you think. Any thoughts? Would you wear them?

Style do or don't: pom beanies

image
It's been cold here the past few weeks and we've had to bundle up before going outside. In Minnesota winter hats are not optional, they are absolutely necessary. I have kind of a bigger head (yeah I can wear all my husband's baseball caps) so I have to be careful what types of hats I wear. I love the look of the pom beanie. They have a playful and fun vibe, but some styles don't work on my big head especially tight ones.

What do you think, do you like the pom beanie? Do you have a favorite style of beanie?

Do or don't: slouchy pants

pants above from here
Now that I'm not pregnant anymore I've been on the hunt for new pants for Fall. Plus, it might be awhile before my old ones fit again. One style I keep spotting frequently in stores and on the street is the slouchy pant. They look incredibly comfortable and when styled right can look pretty chic.

What do you think, are they a do or a don't?

A few other slouchy pant favorites here, here, and here.

I've also started a Fall 2013 board on Pinterest that I'll be frequently updating with my favorite fashion finds for Fall. You can find it here

Do or don't: Baseball hats

source
I've been seeing more and more girls sporting baseball hats ever since Emerson Fry released their collection last year with models wearing them. I think it can be a fun way to add a little tomboy to your look. I love it mixed with feminine details such as heels, a striped skirt or dress, or even a blazer for a change.

What do you think, are you a fan of baseball hats?

Here's how I'd wear it...

Do or Don't: Wide Leg Pants

left // right
We just got back from our trip to North Carolina and I'm trying to play catch up on a bunch of design projects. It was kind of nice having a little break from blogging as well. Later, I'll share some pictures from our trip.

It seems we've been wearing skinny pants and jeans for so long I kind of forgot how much I like wide leg pants. I love how easy and comfortable these ones look, don't you think? They would be perfect to pack for a vacation or worn for a dinner date this summer.

What do you think, would you wear?

Do or Don't: Tulle Skirts

this skirt from Anthropologie

original source unknown (found here)
Tulle skirts seem to be making a big appearance on the streets and just in time for the holidays. I like the idea of dressing them down with a cable knit sweater or a chambray shirt as seen here (or how about a black tulle skirt)?

What do you think, are tulle skirts a do or a don't?

p.s. Don't forget to VOTE.
