DIY: Gold Dot Tray

Lately I've been in organize mode and one of the biggest things that needs to be organized is my jewelry. I thought I would make a jewelry tray by adding some gold dots with a sharpie to a white tray (easiest DIY ever). That way I can have somewhere to put those pieces I wear more often. Plus, it looks a lot prettier when on a tray then just on the dresser. See more after the jump...

I got my white tray from Target, but CB2 also has some great trays and plates in different sizes.

After seeing what my friend Mandi from Vintage Revivals did with a Gold Sharpie, I'm amazed by the possibilities.

I spaced my dots about an 1.5 in - 2 in apart and just eyeballed it. If it wasn't perfect, I was okay with it because I wanted it to have a more hand drawn look.

And that's it. A super easy DIY.

It looks great. Every time I try to use a tray for organisation, it ends up filled with other stuff and I have to start over :D
